IT Service Page

Service Page provides information of ITService. It provides the information about service core attributes, service components, service extended attributes, service governance, service associations and its dependencies, service measures and service assessment details.

The page is organized into three sections or panels.

First Panel (Navigation Panel)

• The first panel is a Navigation Panel to select a IT Service of interests using various methods available in the panel.
• Option 1: Using the Navigation Tree
  • If there are multiple types of IT Service available, you may select one or more types from the “Focus On” to narrow or expand the list of IT Services to choose from.
  • Select the collection and then navigate through the tree to find the IT Service you are interested in.
• Option 2: Using the List View
  • Select the IT Service from the list, or
  • Use the search to narrow down the list.

Second Panel (Information Panel)

• The second panel includes choices on the types of information about the IT Service. Select one or more of these choices to see the information in the third panel. All selected items are displayed in the third panel in the order they were selected. Scroll down the third panel to see the information selected.
• You must select a IT Service before any of the information about the IT Service can be displayed.
• If you want to see the similar information about another IT Service, select another IT Service from the navigation panel.

Third Panel (Information Details)

• Third panel displays all selected information (from second panel) regarding IT Service.
• If you want to see the same type of information about another IT Service, select the IT Service from the navigation panel while keeping the same information choices selected in the second panel.
• By default, in third panel, we are displaying selected IT Service information. Using document icon provided in grid header, you can view/download all uploaded documents of selected IT Service.

Note: Based on the configuration and permissions, you may not see all the information domains of the selected IT Service page.

Purpose : You can view the core attributes of selected IT Service. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get core attributes because core attributes for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export core attributes information of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get core attributes for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view the components of selected IT Service. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get components because components for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export components of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By Default, we are adding IT Services attributes in column chooser. You can drag drop those attributes in grid. You can get components for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view the extended attributes of selected IT Service/Domain/Cluster

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export extended attributes of selected IT Service/Domain/Cluster in excel format.

Purpose : You can view the service governance of selected IT Service. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get service governance because service governance for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export service governance of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get service governance for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view the service collections of selected IT Service. One IT Service may associate with different clusters with different domains and category. Service collection grid contains information about Domain, Cluster and Category of selected IT Service. If you select IT Service from Navigation tree then Collection grid contains the information of single category of selected IT Service. If you select IT Service from the List View then collection grid contains the information of all categories in which selected IT Service belongs. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get collections because collections for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• You can include/exclude rows from collection grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export service collections of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get collections for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view dependencies of selected IT Service. The Selected IT Service may be parent or child service of other IT Service. Service dependencies grid display the information about all other it services which are dependent on selected IT Service and all other it service on which selected it service is dependent. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get dependencies because collections for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export service dependencies data of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get dependencies for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view dependencies of technologies on selected IT Service. One/Multiple technologies may dependent on selected IT Service. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get technology dependencies because technology dependencies for Domain/Cluster is not available.

• You can include/exclude rows from grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export technology dependencies data of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By Default, we are doing group by Technology Name on Technology Dependencies data. You can expand technology name to view technology governance and technology life cycle. You can get technology dependencies for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view technology governance of selected IT Service. The Technology Governance grid contains the dependent technologies with its governance on selected IT Service. You can see difference colors for difference values of governance. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get technology governance because technology governance for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export technology governance data of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By Default, we are doing group by Technology Name on Technology Governance data. You can expand technology name to view technology life cycle. You can get technology governance for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view technology lifecycle of selected IT Service. The Technology Life Cycle grid contains the dependent technologies with its life cycle on selected IT Service. You can see difference colors for difference values of life cycle. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get technology life cycle because technology life cycle for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Standard (default) Options :
Life Cycle column cell background color is based on life cycle value. You can get technology life cycle for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view technology lifecycle roadmap of selected IT Service. Technology life cycle data is displayed quarterly. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get technology life cycle roadmap because technology life cycle roadmap for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• Color of each cell in grid is based on life cycle quarterly value.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get technology life cycle roadmap for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view technology licenses for an IT Service. Technology Licenses grid contains the information about License Type, Renewal date, Effective Date, License Count and License Vendor. If you select Domain/Cluster instead of service from navigation tree then you cannot get technology licenses because technology licenses for Domain/Cluster is not available.

Customization Options :

• You can include/exclude rows from grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export technology licenses data of selected IT Service in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
You can get technology licenses for selected service but cannot get for domain/cluster.

Purpose : You can view maturity Summary (Maturity score) for selected services/domain/cluster.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can select different time periods and assessment types.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export maturity summary data in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :

• By default, data displays for current, next and previous snapshots on initial load.
• For snapshot columns, Color of cell is dependent on score (measure scale) displayed in cell.

Purpose : You can view the capability maturity model for selected IT Service/Domain/Cluster. Capability Maturity Model contains the information like Capability Class, Capabilities of Capability Class and maturity level of capability.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the capability maturity model in excel format.
• You can set page size and navigate to next/previous record using navigation provided in grid.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, Capability Maturity Model data group by Capability Class

Purpose : You can view the dependencies between the capabilities of selected IT Service/Domain/Cluster. Use Input Dependencies to find out the capabilities supporting the selected IT Service. Knowing this can help you ensure close the gap in achieving desired level of maturity.

Customization Options :

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• You can set page size and navigate to next/previous record using navigation provided in grid.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the input capability dependency grid data in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, Input Capability Dependency grid data group by Capability set (Input dependent) for selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Purpose : You can view the dependencies between the capabilities for selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster. Use Output Dependencies to know who is supported by this IT Service. Knowing this can help you demonstrate value to your customers or help you plan further improvements.

• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• You can set page size and navigate to next/previous record using navigation provided in grid
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the output capability dependency grid data in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, Output Capability Dependency grid data group by Capability set (Output dependent) for selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Purpose : You can view Technology Capability Maturity Comparison. You can view Technology score at different level (Object/Capability Class/Capability/Capability Question) against capability model for Selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Customization Options :

• Using filter icon provided in grid header, you can add/remove technologies.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the grid data in excel format.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, grid shows the comparison of first three technology against capability model for selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Purpose : You can view various charts of IT Service /Domain/Cluster. These charts display information like summary of different objects (services, technologies) at various stage of lifecycles, details of governance and life cycle summary of technologies, comparative summary of technologies, summary of asset age details, distribution of assets by its age and technology lifecycle.

Customization Options :

• Using layout icons provided in grid header, you have options to select several types of layout in which charts will be loaded. Different Layouts are One, Two or three column layouts.
• You can view/select charts from drop down list provided in grid header.
• You can load each chart as a tile in grid section. You can drag/drop this tiles by selecting them from header and rearrange their display order. Display name of the chart in Tile header and on mouse hover of any tile will display three more options in Tile header. These options are –
  • Filters – By selecting this option, you can load filters available for that chart in a popup window. You can change filters, save or apply the filters and chart will be refreshed based on updated filters.
  • Clone chart – By selecting this option, will open popup asking details for clone chart that you can create for selected standard chart. Cloned chart will have same filter settings applied to the standard chart. Newly created cloned chart will be listed in Cloned Item section of first panel.
  • Preview Image – When this option is clicked, it will display selected chart having optimized size in a popup window. In this window, you have Print and Export features on header part of the window.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, three column layout is displayed in grid section.

Purpose : You can review the contribution or performance of the IT Service against the defined KPIs or measures.

Customization Options :

• Click or tap the trend line chart to see the expanded view of the chart.
• Using the setting icon to change select the date range for data to be included in the display.
• Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
• Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the grid data in excel format.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.

Standard (default) Options :
By default, KPI Summary section group by Measure for selected IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Purpose : You can view information of selected services/ Domain/Cluster against other capability models

Customization Options :

• Using filter icon provided in grid header, you can add/remove objects, add/remove snapshots.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag/drop additional field in grid.

Standard (default) Options :

• By default, grid shows the assessment data of current year, previous year and next year.
• By default, the grid is loaded showing groups of Capability scope object types.
• For snapshot columns, Color of cell is dependent on score (measure scale) displayed in cell.

Purpose : You can view comparison information of capability maturity assessments of multiple objects against select services. You can view assessment data at different level (Object/Capability Class/Capability/Capability Question) against technology for select IT Service/ Domain/Cluster.

Customization Options :

• Using filter icon provided in grid header, you can add/remove objects from comparison. You can set date range using “As-of-date” provided in filter.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag/drop additional field in grid.

Standard (default) Options :

• By default, grid shows the comparison of capability maturity assessment data for first three latest objects.

Purpose : You can view comparison information of selected services/ Domain/Cluster against other capability models.

Customization Options :

• Using filter icon provided in grid header, you can add/remove objects, add/remove snapshots.
• Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag/drop additional field in grid.

Standard (default) Options :

• By default, grid shows the assessment data of current year, previous year and next year.

Purpose : You can export selected IT Service details. You can export Core Information, Grouping Information, Associations and dependencies, Capability Model, Capability Model of Service Components of selected IT Service.

Customization Options :

• You can select/unselect multiple information from grid section to export their data.

Q: All information items described in this document is not displayed, why?

A: There can be two reasons. First, these items are not accessible to you. Second, it can be set hidden by your administrator.
