Management Dashboard
Purpose
Dashboard page contains a set of service, technology, capability, assessment and measure charts. As charts are the best way to visualize the information, it is very useful to see different data like summary of data, comparison of data, maturity gaps, maturity distribution.
In this page, we can do –
- Select one or multiple charts
- Apply appropriate filters for each chart
- Choose different layout for charts
- Create clones of charts
- Print and export charts
Layout & Navigation
The page is organized into two sections or panels.
Chart selection section
The first panel is chart selection panel where we list all available chart links. User can select one or many from this list and load charts accordingly.
In this panel, we have two sections defined –
- Standard Items
- My Saved Items
Where ‘My saved Items’ are actually a list of cloned charts created from standard charts.
Chart widgets section
In second panel, we load charts based on selection made from first panel. In top of the panel, we have options to selection different types of layout in which charts will be loaded. Different Layouts are One, Two or three column layouts.
We load each chart as a tile in this section. We can drag/drop this tiles by selecting them from header and rearrange their display order. We display name of the chart in Tile header and on mouse hover of any tile, we display three more options in Tile header. These options are –
- Filters – By selecting this option, we load filters available for that chart in a popup window. User can change filters, save or apply the filters and chart will be refreshed based on updated filters.
- Clone chart – By selecting this option, we display a popup asking details for clone chart that we can create for selected standard chart. Cloned chart will have same filter settings applied to the standard chart. Newly created cloned chart will be listed in Cloned Item section of first panel.
- Preview Image – When this option is clicked, it will display selected chart having optimized size in a popup window. In this window, we have Print and Export features on header part of the window.
Note: Some of the charts do having drilldown facility. By clicking on these charts, we display chart data as grid format in a popup window.
Available charts
Governance, Standard and Lifecycle charts
These charts display information like summary of different objects (services, technologies) at various stage of lifecycles, details of governance and life cycle summary of technologies, comparative summary of technologies, summary of asset age details, distribution of assets by its age and technology lifecycle.
Capability Maturity Summary charts
These charts show maturity levels and importance across snapshots, maturity gap across snapshots, Maturity vs importance map, comparison of various capabilities across snapshots, summary of maturity Distribution and Gap.
Capability Assessment charts
These charts provide details of maturity level and importance, Maturity vs importance map and maturity gap of snapshots of capabilities included in an assessment. Performance and Metrics charts Displays summary count of measures trending up or down.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: In first panel, ‘My Saved item’ section doesn’t have any item, why?
A: This section displays cloned charts. If there is not item in this sections means there are no cloned charts created. You can create it from chart tile options described above.
Q2: Some of the charts are preloaded, when coming to this page, why? How to change this configuration?
A: Charts those are set to default will be loaded on page load. Admin can change this configuration and set appropriate charts to defaults.
Q3: Why we have different filters for each chart?
A: In filters, we are giving only appropriate and necessary options to select in filters for each chart. Configuration of which filters to load with which chart is pre-defined in system tables by admin.
Q4: In second panel, can we change default column layout for charts?
A: No. Charts will be loaded as three panel layout by default.
Q5: For Capability and Assessment charts, it is showing scale differently for all charts. On which basis we are showing the scale?
A: For these chart, we are considering measure scale of measure associated with selected data.

Purpose : Displays count of associated technologies with selected services at various stages of life cycles in given date range

Purpose : Displays summary count of assets by current OR remaining age

- In filters, there are several navigation methods available for assets. You can list assets grouped by their class/subclass, location, vendor and status. You can select one or more assets to get summary count.
- There is scope refiner to filter assets by attributes defined for assets.
- You can filter assets by their status also and consider only those assets having selected status.
- You can select series to display in chart like current or remaining age
- We calculate age of an asset on a specific date by selecting As-of-Date.
- You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
- You can customize chart display by deciding whether to show legend, series values and values as percentage.
Standard Options
- If no assets selected, we consider all asset of selected navigation method.
- You need to select at-least one series to load the chart.
- If As-of-Date is not provided, Today’s date will be considered as As-of-Date.

Asset Age Vs. Technology Life Cycle
Purpose : Displays summary distribution of assets by age and technology life cycles.
Customization Options
- In filters, there are several navigation methods available for assets. You can list assets grouped by their class/subclass, location, vendor and status. You can select one or more assets to get summary count.
- There is scope refiner to filter assets by attributes defined for assets.
- You can filter assets by their status also and consider only those assets having selected status.
- You can select series to display in chart like current or remaining age
- You can select one or more internal or vendor technology life cycles to display summary for selected life cycles.
- We calculate age of an asset on a specific date by selecting As-of-Date.
- You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
- You can customize chart display by deciding whether to show legend, series values and values as percentage.
Standard Options
- If no assets selected, we consider all asset of selected navigation method.
- You need to select at-least one series to load the chart.
- If As-of-Date is not provided, Today’s date will be considered as As-of-Date.
- Default chart type is BUBBLE chart is not selected.
- If not life cycle selected, we consider all available life cycles.
- Default chart title is same as chart name if not provided
Assets Key Metrics and Indicators
Purpose : Displays Key strategic and operational indicators for assets
Customization Options
- In filters, there are several navigation methods available for assets. You can list assets grouped by their class/subclass, location, vendor and status. You can select one or more assets to get summary count.
- There is scope refiner to filter assets by attributes defined for assets.
- You can filter assets by their status also and consider only those assets having selected status.
- We consider As-of-Date as End of life date of an asset.
- You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
- You can select any info item to include in the chart.
Standard Options
- If no assets selected, we consider all asset of selected navigation method.
- If As-of-Date is not provided, Today’s date will be considered as As-of-Date.
- If there are no items selected to include, we include all 5 to the chart.
- Default chart title is same as chart name if not provided
Technology Life Cycle Summary
Purpose : Displays count of technologies at various stage of life cycles
Customization Options
- From the chart filters, you can select various technologies displayed based on selected entity and category.
- There is a scope refiner to filter technologies by various attributes.
- You can also select Governance and lifecycle for which you want to see data.
- You can include/exclude In-Active and hidden records.

- Then, you need to select type of valuation object which is valuated through maturity scoring. After selecting an item, it will load appropriate valuation objects below.
- Select One or more Scope objects for which you need to create the chart.
- Select One or more valuation objects from the list.
- You can filter selected valuation objects by using Scope refiners which are actually attributes defined for those objects.
- You can select Detail Level to see only that maturity data having at that specific level. It can be Object, Capability Class, Capability and Capability Question level.
- You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
- You can select chart type so data will be loaded in that chart format. Available chart types are Horizontal/Vertical bar, Pie and Donut
- You can customize chart display by deciding whether to show legend, series values and values as percentage.

Assessment Maturity Gap Analysis
Purpose : Displays Maturity Gap across selected two valuation objects of capabilities of an assessment

Measure Trend Summary
Purpose : Displays Summary count with drill-down on Measure trending up or down
Customization Options
- You have to select one or more measures available in the list
- You have to select one or more valuation objects from list
- You can also refine selected objects by applying scope refiner.
- You can select As-of-Date that will be the date on which measure performed
- You can show/hide valuedial in the chart by Show ValueDial option.
- You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
Standard Options
- If As-of-Date is not provided, it will consider today’s date.
- Default chart title is same as chart name if not provided
