Capability Portfolio Page

In Capability Set Portfolio page, you can see details about various capability sets, their association with Organization Units, their assessment comparison and assessment against other maturity models.

In this page, you can select multiple capability sets and view/export below data for selected capability sets –

  • Capability Maturity Summary
  • Capability Set – Organization Unit Association
  • Side-by-Side Assessment Comparison
  • Assessment Against Other Models

The page is organized into three sections or panels.

First Panel/Section is navigation panel where you can select multiple capability sets and view their details.

This panel is divided into two further sub-sections.

  • Capability Set (Collection view)/Scope filters
    • In this sub-section, Capability Sets are displayed as collection view. This collection is based on Categories, Domains and Clusters.
    • Based on Category selected, we load capability sets grouped by domains and clusters in a tree-view. You can change category to load capability sets of that category.
    • You have ability to filter selected capability sets (from Collection view/List view) by selecting their attributes. In scope refiner filters, we load all available attributes for capability sets. You can consider only those capability sets having any specific attributes by selecting those attributes.
  • Capability Set (List view)
    • In this sub-section, we simply load all capability sets and you can select one or more from the list.
    • You can search any specific capability set in ‘Search Capability’ textbox.
    • If you select any capability set from this list, it will automatically un-select capability sets selected in collection view/tree-view. Same as, if you select capability sets in tree-view, it will un-select capability sets from list view if any selected.

Second Panel/section is Information panel, where we load several types of information items for capability sets that you can see in third panel by selecting these items. These items are displayed in various groups in this panel.

You can select a single item at a time to see selected information in third panel. This list is configured by system. You may not able to see one or more if you don’t have access to see them.

Third Panel/section is Information details panel, where you load selected information from second panel as data grid.

Each information item/Activity is explained below.

Capability Maturity Summary Displays maturity Summary (Maturity score) for selected capability sets.
  • By default, among all available snapshots, it displays data for Current, Next and Previous snapshots. You can choose more by selecting ‘Choose Columns’ icon displayed on header of the grid.
  • By clicking that icon, it will display a popup containing list of all available snapshots.
  • You have searching, filtering options available in the grid.
  • Displays data for current, next and previous snapshots on initial load.
  • You can view more information for any capability set by clicking on any capability set name from grid. It will redirect to Capability Set page.
  • For snapshot columns, Color of cell is dependent on score (measure scale) displayed in cell
Capability Set – Organization Unit Association Displays Capability Sets and Organization Units association information
  • In the grid, by default the data is displayed as pivoted view in which Organization Units will be as columns having category and description information for each association with capability sets.
  • You can change the view to Normal view by clicking on Change View icon in grid. It will display flat association data.
  • You can see more columns using Column chooser option where you can choose more columns those are not visible by default.
  • You can search, filter, sort through the grid data.
  • Default view to display grid data is pivoted view. You can change the view from grid option.
  • You can export data as excel file by clicking Export option on top the grid.
  • You can view more information for any capability set by clicking on any capability set name from grid. It will redirect to Capability Set page.
Side-by-Side Assessment Comparison Displays comparison information of capability maturity assessments of multiple objects against select capability sets
  • By default, among all available snapshots, it displays data for Current, Next and Previous snapshots. You can choose more by selecting ‘Choose Columns’ icon displayed on header of the grid.
  • By clicking that icon, it will display a popup containing list of all available snapshots.
  • You can search, filter, sort, group through the data using grid features.
  • By default, the grid is loaded showing groups of valuation object types.
  • For snapshot columns, Color of cell is dependent on score (measure scale) displayed in cell
  • You can view more information for any capability set by clicking on any capability set name from grid. It will redirect to Capability Set page.
  • You can export grid data by export button displayed on top of the grid.
Assessment Against Other Models Displays comparison information of selected capability sets against other capability models
  • By default, among all available snapshots, it displays data for Current, Next and Previous snapshots. You can choose more by selecting ‘Choose Columns’ icon displayed on header of the grid.
  • By clicking that icon, it will display a popup containing list of all available snapshots.
  • You can search, filter, sort, group through the data using grid features.

  • You can view more information for any capability set by clicking on any capability set name from grid. It will redirect to Capability Set page.

Q: Why it is showing ‘No Data’ in scope refiner?

A: we are showing attributes defined for capability sets in this section. If there are no attributes defined that this list will be empty.

Q: All information items described in this document is not displayed, why?

A: There can be two reasons. One, these items are not accessible to you. OR it can be set hidden by your administrator.
