Asset Page

Asset page provides information of Asset. It provides the information about asset core attributes, asset extended attributes, asset instances, asset associations and asset charts.

The page is organized into three sections or panels.

  • The first panel is a Navigation Panel to select an Asset of interests using various methods available in the panel.
    • Option 1: Using the Navigation Tree
    • Select the collection and then navigate through the tree to find the Asset you are interested in. You can navigate to Asset by Class & Sub Class, Sub Class, Location, Vendor and Status.
  • Option 2: Using the List View
    • Select the Asset from the list, or
    • Use the search to narrow down the list.
  • The second panel includes choices on the types of information about the Asset. Select one or more of these choices to see the information in the third panel. All selected items are displayed in the third panel in the order they were selected. Scroll down the third panel to see the information selected.
  • You must select an Asset before any of the information about the Asset can be displayed.
  • If you want to see the similar information about another Asset, select another Asset from the navigation panel.
  • Third panel displays all selected information (from second panel) regarding Asset.
  • If you want to see the same type of information about another Asset, select Asset from the navigation panel while keeping the same information choices selected in the second panel.
  • By default, in third panel, we are displaying selected Asset information. Using document icon provided in grid header, you can view/download all uploaded documents of selected Asset.

View Core Attributes You can view the core attributes of selected Asset.
  • Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
  • Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export core attributes information of selected Asset in excel format.
You can get core attributes for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.
View Extended Attribute You can view extended attributes of selected asset.
  • Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
  • Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
  • Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export extended attributes of selected Asset in excel format.
  • You can include/exclude rows from grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
You can get extended attributes for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.
View Asset Instances You can view Instances of Asset.
  • Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
  • Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
  • Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export instances of selected Asset in excel format.
  • You can include/exclude rows from grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
By default, we are doing group by Instance Name on grid data. You can expand asset instance name to view its extended attributes. You can get instances for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.
View Asset Associations Selected Asset have one or more instances. One asset instance may associate with one or many objects (Service, Technology etc.). You can view asset associations with different objects in grid.
  • Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
  • You can include/exclude rows from grid using filter icon provided in each column header.
  • Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
  • Using the export to excel icon provide in grid header, you can export grid data in excel format.
By default, Asset Associations grid data group by Asset Instance, Object Type for selected Asset. You can get associations for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.
View Asset Dashboard You can various charts of Asset. These charts display information like summary of asset age details, distribution of assets by its age and technology lifecycle, summary of asset key metrics and indicators.
  • Using layout icons provided in grid header, you have options to select several types of layout in which charts will be loaded. Different Layouts are One, Two or three column layouts.
  • You can view/select charts from drop down list provided in grid header.
  • You can load each chart as a tile in grid section. You can drag/drop this tiles by selecting them from header and rearrange their display order. Display name of the chart in Tile header and on mouse hover of any tile will display three more options in Tile header. These options are
    • Filters – By selecting this option, you can load filters available for that chart in a popup window. You can change filters, save or apply the filters and chart will be refreshed based on updated filters.
    • Clone chart – By selecting this option, will open popup asking details for clone chart that you can create for selected standard chart. Cloned chart will have same filter settings applied to the standard chart. Newly created cloned chart will be listed in Cloned Item section of first panel.
    • Preview Image – When this option is clicked, it will display selected chart having optimized size in a popup window. In this window, you have Print and Export features on header part of the window.
By default, three column layout is displayed in grid section. You can get Dashboard for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.
View KPI Summary You can review the contribution or performance of the Asset against the defined KPIs or measures.
  • Click or tap the trend line chart to see the expanded view of the chart.
  • Using the setting icon to change select the date range for data to be included in the display.
  • Using the filter icon provided in grid header, you can search and sort grid data.
  • Using the export to excel icon provided in grid header, you can export the grid data in excel format.
  • Using field chooser icon provided in grid header, you can drag and drop additional field in grid.
By default, KPI Summary section group by Measure for selected Asset. You can get KPI Summary for selected Asset but cannot get for Asset Class/Asset Sub Class/Asset Location/Asset Vendor/Asset Status.

Q: All information items described in this document is not displayed, why?

A: There can be two reasons. First, these items are not accessible to you. Second, it can be set hidden by your administrator.
