Analytics

Analytics page contains a set of service, technology, capability, assessment and measure charts. As charts are the best way to visualize the information, it is very useful to see different data like Governance and Lifecycle of technologies used, Complexity and Risk in using multiple technologies, Gap and comparison of capability maturity, maturity analysis by levels, Analysis of capabilities included in an assessment, compare measures, measure different objects, etc.

In this page, we can do –

• Select any chart to load
• Appy appropriate filters
• See data in chart as well as grid layout in last panel
• Resize chart and export it in various format(image, pdf, excel)
• Show drilldown data by clicking on it for some charts

The page is organized into three sections or panels.

The first panel is chart selection panel where we list all available chart links. User can select any one of them. Based on user selection, filter panel and chart panel will be refreshed and load content accordingly.

In this section, we load filters based on selection made from first panel. We load only appropriate filters configured for that selected chart. After selecting filters and applying them, chart and data grid will be refreshed in last panel based on selection made in filters.

This is the data visualization section, where we display data as chart/data grid format based on selection made from first and second panels. In top of this panel, we display some options to resize the chart and to export data in various formats. Some of the charts like service and technology charts have drilldown facility available. So by clicking on those chart, we display drill down data in a data grid in popup window.

These charts displays information like summary of different objects(services, technologies) at various stage of lifecycles, details of governance and life cycle summary of technologies, comparative summary of technologies, service analysis by technology lifecycle risk, license renewal and state of technology lifecycle, Identify and analyze services by technology and their versions.

Q: For some charts, it is showing ‘Data is not available’ message in last panel, why?

A: For each chart to be loaded, you need to select appropriate filters from second panel. After selecting filters, if data will be there, the chart will get loaded.

Q: Can’t see data grid along with chart for some charts. Why it is not displayed?

A: To see the data grid, you need to check ‘Show Data’ checkbox in filters. After checking it and applying changes, it will load data grid below the chart.

Q: Some times, chart is two small, can’t get any information from it, what to do?

A: If chart is too small or not readable, you can use ‘Fit to window’ feature available in last panel. By selecting it, it will reload the chart having larger width having same with chart panel. You can also maximize the whole panel so chart will also get maximized.

Q: What if I want to see data having any specific chart layout like Bar chart, Pie chart, etc?

A: Different chart types are available in filters for each charts. You can select and load only those chart types which are in filters. Different charts may have different chart types available.

Purpose : Displays count of associated technologies with selected services at various stages of life cycles in given date range

Purpose : Displays maturity levels across selected capability scope and valuation objects

Customization Options

• As maturity model divided into several capability scopes, you need to first select Capability scope for which you want to see data. This list is configured by system. By selecting an item, it will load the object selection accordingly.
• Then, you need to select type of valuation object which is already valuated through maturity scoring. After selecting an item, it will load appropriate valuation objects below.
• You must select one Capability scope for which you want to see data.
• You can select one or more valuation objects from available list. The list is loaded based on type of valuation scope selected above.
• You can select type of assessment for which you want to load chart. This list is configured by System.
• You can select assessment level to filter data by selected level. For maturity model, it can be at Capability or Question level.
• You can select Detail Level to see only that maturity data having at that specific level. It can be Object, Capability Class, Capability and Capability Question level.
• You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
• You can select chart type so data will be loaded in that chart format. Available chart types are Horizontal/Vertical bar, Polar, Line and Point chart.
• You can customize chart display by deciding whether to show legend, series values.

Purpose : Displays Maturity Gap across selected two valuation objects

• Then, you need to select type of valuation object which is already valuated through maturity scoring. After selecting an item, it will load appropriate valuation objects below.

Purpose : Displays map between maturity and importance for selected objects

• As maturity model divided into several capability scopes, you need to first select Capability scope for which you want to see data. This list is configured by system. By selecting an item, it will load the object selection accordingly.
• Then, you need to select type of valuation object which is already valuated through maturity scoring. After selecting an item, it will load appropriate valuation objects below.
• You must select one Capability scope for which you want to see data.

• You must select one single Assessment scope from available list.
• After selecting any scope, it will load valuation objects and if time-based assessment then snapshots just below scope selection tree-view.
• You can select one or more valuation objects for which you want to see data.
• If time based-assessment and multiple snapshots available then you can select one or more snapshots from the list. If there is a single snapshot, it will be considered automatically with data.
• You can select type of assessment for which you want to load chart. This list is configured by System.
• You can select Detail Level to see only that maturity data having at that specific level. It can be Object, Capability Class, Capability and Capability Question level.
• You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
• You can select chart type so data will be loaded in that chart format. Available chart types are Horizontal/Vertical bar, Polar, Line and point chart.
• You can customize chart display by deciding whether to show legend, series values.
• You can filter Maturity score having in a range by providing Min/Max values
• You can show/hide data grid in chart panel by Show Data option in filter.

Purpose : Displays Importance score of capabilities included in an assessment

Customization Options

• You must select one single Assessment scope from available list.
• After selecting any scope, it will load valuation objects and if time-based assessment then snapshots just below scope selection tree-view.
• You can select one or more valuation objects for which you want to see data.
• If time based-assessment and multiple snapshots available then you can select one or more snapshots from the list. If there is a single snapshot, it will be considered automatically with data.
• You can select type of assessment for which you want to load chart. This list is configured by System.
• You can select Detail Level to see only that maturity data having at that specific level. It can be Object, Capability Class, Capability and Capability Question level.
• You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
• You can select chart type so data will be loaded in that chart format. Available chart types are Horizontal/Vertical bar, Polar, Line and point chart.

Purpose : Displays map between maturity and importance for capabilities of an assessment

Customization Options

• You must select one single Assessment scope from available list.

Purpose : Displays Analysis of performance indicators or measures of an object

Customization Options

• In filters, you have to select Scope/Object type to load appropriate objects.
• After selecting scope, you can select an object for which you want to see measure analysis
• After selecting any object, it will load measures associated with that object. It is required to have measures associated with that object to load the chart. You can select one or more measures from the list.
• You can select Measure Type 1 and Measure Type 2 from available measure types indicating performance. You can also select chart types for them. They will be displayed in chart as separate series.
• You can also provide date range to filter data by given range.
• You can see info of each measure on separate axis by enabling Show Measure Axis option.

Purpose : Displays analysis of assessment segmentation across different scores considering various attributes for an assessment

Customization Options

• You must select one single Assessment scope from available list.
• After selecting any scope, it will load valuation objects and if time-based assessment then snapshots just below scope selection tree-view.
• You can select one or more valuation objects for which you want to see data.
• If time based-assessment and multiple snapshots available then you can select one snapshot from the list. If there is a single snapshot, it will be considered automatically with data.
• You can select attributes that you want to consider in chart. For that, you first need to select types of attributes to include which are Assessment attributes, Person attributes and General question attributes.
• After selecting types of attributes, it will load list of available attributes below.
• Select any if you want to include or it will consider all.
• You have to select at-least one score type from list.
• You can select one or more scores to include in chart.
• You can set chart title that will be the header of the chart.
• By selecting apply color to label text, it will show objects having on axis as grouped colors.
• You can enable chart legend by selecting Show Legend option.
• By selecting show values, it will display values for series.

• In chart, we can have two x-axis, which is showing group of objects.
