Assessment Summary Page

Assessment summary Page is used to display list of assessments for user which is either as a participant or as an assessor of those assessments. Activities performed in Assessment Summary page:

  • View Assessment Information.
  • View Assessment Details of individual and Assessor Assessment.
  • View Charts of Assessment.
  • Navigate to Report Page of Assessment.
  • Navigate to Assessment Page.
  • We can get Assessment Summary Page when click on “My Assessment” option of Assessment menu.
  • We are using only one panel to display assessment information. In this panel, we are displaying details of assessments as well as charts of assessments.
  • We are using tab control to separate out Individual Assessments and Assessor Assessments.
  • Initially when page displayed, we are displaying list of assessments of participant.
  • To get list of assessments of assessor we must select “Assessor” tab.
  • View Assessment Information
    • We can view assessment information of Individual assessments as well as Assessor assessments.
    • Information contains various detail of Assessment like Assessment Name, Percentage Complete, Due Date, Last Access Date, View options (Report, Charts etc.)
    • Due Date indicates that after this date assessment will expire. User can not able to enter or update score in Assessment.
    • We can have track of Assessment using Last Access Date, Due Date and Percentage Complete.
  • View Assessment Details
    • To view Assessment Details, from view column of grid, click on “Details” link of assessment.
    • We get assessment details section of specific assessment below assessment grid.
    • In Assessment Details sections, we have Assessment Scope drop down list, Scope type drop down list, and grid in which we are displaying the score of assessment.
    • By Selecting, Assessment Scope and Score type, we can get statistical analysis i.e. Mean, Max, Min, range for maturity score or importance across the responses made by participant of an assessment.
    • Click on “Calculate Score” to calculate score/roll up of an assessment. Score is a weighted average of all individual scores. The maturity scores for the questions are rolled up to Capability Building Block (CBB) and Capability category and then eventually to a Capability.
  • View Charts of Assessment.
    • To view charts of an Assessment, from view column of grid, click on “Charts” link of assessment.
    • After clicking on “Charts” link, Below the assessment grid we have chart section.
    • Chart Section have list of available charts in drop down list, “Load Chart” button to load specific chart and below that we have actual loaded chart.
    • We have list of available Assessment charts in “Charts” drop down list. We can select one chart at a time from drop down.
    • To view selected chart information, we have “Load Chart” button. After clicking on this button, we can load selected chart at bottom.
    • Each chart has filters. Click on the filter icon to open the filter options in a dialog box.
  • Navigate to Report page
    • To navigate to report page of an Assessment, from view column of grid, click on “Report” link of assessment.
    • After clicking on this link, we can get report page.
    • Navigate to Assessment Page
    • To navigate to assessment page, we must click on Assessment Name.

Q1: I don’t see any tab or assessments in the panel. Where did they all go?

A: If you are not added as a participant or as an Assessor for any assessment, then you cannot get any tab or assessments.

Q2: I don’t see any Assessor tab in the panel. Where did they all go?

A: If you are not added as an Assessor for any assessment, then you cannot get Assessor tab.

Q3: I don’t see Report link in View column of Grid in the panel. Where did it go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set Show Report flag to true for an assessment, then you cannot see Report link in View column of Grid in the panel.

Assessment Intermediate Page

Assessment Intermediate Page is used to display assessment disclaimer text, assessment instruction text and display list of pages available in assessment.

Activities performed in Assessment Intermediate page:

  • Select Assessment Page to start an assessment
  • We can get Assessment Intermediate Page when click on Assessment Name on Assessment Summary Page.
  • We are using one panel to display assessment disclaimer text, assessment instruction text and display list of pages available in assessment.
  • Select Assessment Page to start an assessment
    • In Assessment Intermediate Page, we have list of available assessment pages and we can navigate to any assessment page from list.
    • We should select desired page from list of assessment pages and then click on “Start Assessment” button to navigate on that page.
    • If we have not selected any page from list of assessment pages and clicked on “Start Assessment” button then by default we are navigating to first page of assessment.
    • If we click on “Cancel” button then it navigates to Assessment Summary Page.

Q1: I don’t see any assessment page list in the panel. Where did they all go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set Include Scope Options flag to true for an assessment, then you cannot see any assessment page list in the panel.

Q2: I don’t see any assessment general question page or scope general question page in the panel. Where did they all go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set Include General Questions flag to true for an assessment, then you cannot see any assessment general question page or scope general question page list in the panel.

Start Assessment Page

Start Assessment Page is a container for various assessment pages. We are loading all assessment pages within Start Assessment Page. We can navigate to various assessment pages using next/previous icon provided in start assessment page. We can set the page break for the capability assessment using Preferences option provided in start assessment page. We can navigate to desired assessment page using menu option provided in start assessment page.

Activities performed in Assessment Intermediate page:

  • Navigate to Assessment Page using next/previous icon.
  • Set the Page Break, Prompt for Comments, End Assessment using Preference icon.
  • Navigate to Assessment Page using Menu.
  • Roll up Assessment using “End Assessment” link provided in Menu.
  • We can get Start Assessment Page when click on “Start Assessment” button on Assessment Intermediate Page.
  • We are using one panel and two panel layouts in start assessment page.
  • If Assessment Administrator has set Survey Style to “In-Line” then we are getting one panel layout.
  • If Assessment Administrator has set Survey Style to “Spreadsheet” or assessor user then we are getting two panel layouts.
  • In one panel layout, we are displaying all information in one panel only. In two panel layouts, we are displaying Capability/Question/Measure/Valuation Object and scoring information in first panel and we are displaying maturity level/measure scale/object information in second panel.
In-Line Assessment Format Spreadsheet Assessment Format
This format is multi choice response format. Each capability/measure/question has multiple responses. Each response represents level of maturity for capability assessment and measure scale for measure assessment. In this format, the question/capability/measure displayed in table format/spreadsheet style format. Maturity level/Measure scale description are shown in the next panel.
This format use one panel to display information. This format use two panel to display information.
User can select one response from multiple responses. User must enter data value in textbox.
This format is used for simplicity and user has select response/score, cannot insert score between maturity level/measure scale. User can enter score between maturity level/measure scale. For example, user can insert 2.4 as score.
  • To do Capability/Measure Assessment, select desired assessment page from menu or navigate to desired assessment page that we want to access.
  • In-Line Assessment Format
    • In In-Line Assessment Format, each capability/measure/question have multiple responses. This format use one panel to display information.
    • Select any desired response of capability/measure/question in panel and it will enter score in database.
    • Click on “info” icon along with capability/measure/question, the dialog box is open and in that box, we get description of capability/measure/question.
    • Click on “info” icon along with maturity level/measure scale, the dialog box is open and in that box, we get maturity level/capability practice/measure scale description.
    • We can enter comments using the comment bubble. Click on comment bubble will open Comment dialog box and using that we can enter comment.
  • Spreadsheet Assessment Format
    • In Spreadsheet Assessment Format, the question/capability/measure displayed in table format/spreadsheet style format. This format use two panel to display information.
    • In the first panel, enter a score for question/capability/measure. The score can be valid measure scale value of measure which is associated with question/capability. Any time you click or touch a field, it shows the maturity/measure descriptions in the next information (second) panel.
    • We can enter comments using the comment bubble. Click on comment bubble will open Comment dialog box and using that we can enter comment.
  • In general question page of assessment/assessment scope, we can enter the response of question in text box provided under question.
  • Navigate to Assessment Page using next/previous icon
    • We can navigate to different assessment page using next/previous icon.
    • The icons are available in header and footer of Start Assessment Page.
    • If we are on the first page then we have no “previous” icon, we have only “next” icon if multiple pages of assessment.
    • If we are on last page then we have “end assessment” icon using which we can do roll up of assessment.
  • Set the Page Break, Prompt for Comments, End Assessment using Preference icon.
    • “Preference” icon is available only for In-Line style assessment and it is in header of start assessment page.
    • Click on “Preference” icon will open a dialog box and from that we can set page break, prompt comment and end assessment of assessment page.
    • Page Break
      • We can set page break only in Capability Assessment, for Measure Assessment we cannot.
      • In Capability Assessment, we can group assessment page items by capability class, capability and none (for remove page break).
      • If we set page break by Capability Class then in page we get information of one capability class. To view next/previous capability class, we should click on next/previous icon.
      • If we set page break by Capability then in page we get information of one capability. To view next/previous capability, we should click on next/previous icon.
      • If we set page break to none then in page we get all capability class and capabilities in assessment page. Page break to none is used to remove page break from assessment page.
    • Prompt for Comments
      • Prompt for Comments have check box control.
      • In In-Line Assessment, if we have checked “Prompt for Comments” option then when we click on any response then it will open the comments dialog. If we have unchecked “Prompt for Comments” option then when we click on any response then it will not open the comments dialog.
    • End Assessment
      • Click on “End Assessment” link from dialog box will roll up the assessment.
  • Navigate to Assessment Page using Menu
    • We can navigate assessment page using “Menu” icon provided in header of start assessment page.
    • Click on “Menu” will open dialog box and it contains the assessment pages’ information in table of contents format.
    • Click on any assessment page from “Menu” dialog will display that page in start assessment page.
  • Roll up Assessment using “End Assessment” link provided in Menu
    • We can do roll up of assessment using “End Assessment” like provided in Menu.
  • Survey Style -It is preference for layout of assessment data. There are two styles for presenting questions/capabilities/measures and entering data for participants.
    • In-Line Style - List or responses are shown below the question/capability/measure
    • Spreadsheet Style - The questions/capabilities/measures and response entry fields are displayed as a table, like a spreadsheet columns.
  • Roll up Assessments - The question-level scores are “rolled up” to higher levels e.g. capability building blocks, category.

Q1: I don’t see any assessment general question page or scope general question page in Menu. Where did they all go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set Include General Questions flag to true for an assessment, then you cannot see any assessment general question page or scope general question page in Menu.

Q2: When I visit to Start Assessment Page, by default “Prompt for Comments” option in “Preferences” is checked? Where it comes from?

A: If assessment administrator has set Prompt Comment option to true for an assessment then when any user visit Start Assessment Page, by default “Prompt Comments” option in “Preferences” will be checked.

Q3: When I visit to Start Assessment Page, by default “Capability Category/Capability” option in page break section of “Preferences” is selected? Where it comes from?

A: If assessment administrator has set Page Break option to “Capability Category/Capability” for an assessment then when any user visit Start Assessment Page, by default “Capability Category/Capability” option in page break section of “Preferences” will be selected.

Q4: I cannot change response or cannot enter/update value in text box of assessment page. I can only view the assessment page. Why it happens?

A: It happens due to assessment is expire. User cannot change response or cannot enter/update value in text box of assessment page after the end date of assessment. After end date of assessment, user can only view the assessment page.

Q5: Cannot get “Preferences” icon in header of start assessment page. Why?

A: You can get “Preferences” icon, when assessment survey style is “In-Line”. For “Spreadsheet” survey style assessment you cannot get “Preferences” icon in header of start assessment page.

Q6: I don’t see Importance Page of some scope of assessment in Start Assessment Page. Where did they all go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set “Include Importance” flag to true for assessment scope, then for that assessment scope you cannot see Importance Page in Start Assessment Page

End Assessment Page

End Assessment Page display rollup score of each assessment scope of an assessment. We are displaying list of assessment scopes of assessment, rollup score for each assessment scope and summary of assessment general questions. This is a common page for both survey style assessment (In-Line, Spreadsheet)

Activities performed in End Assessment page:

  • View list of scopes of an assessment, view rollup score for each assessment scope and view summary of assessment general questions.
  • Navigate to Assessment Summary Page.
  • Navigate to Assessment Scope Page.
  • Navigate to Assessment Scope Report Page.
  • We can get End Assessment Page when click on “End Assessment” link which is in header of start assessment page.
  • We are using single panel in this page. This page is divided into three section. First section contains the list of assessment scopes for an assessment. Second section contains rollup score of each assessment scope and third section contains summary of assessment general questions.
  • View Assessment/Assessment Scope information
    • View all scope of an assessment
      • In first section of end assessment page, we are displaying all scope of an assessment.
      • In Grid view, we are displaying the scope. When we click on any scope the it navigates to rollup grid of that scope.
    • View rollup score for each assessment scope
      • In the second section of end assessment page, we are displaying roll up score for each assessment scope.
      • We are displaying the roll up score for assessment scope in grid view.
    • View summary of assessment general questions
      • At the bottom of end assessment page, we are displaying summary of assessment level general questions.
  • Navigate to Assessment Summary Page
    • In Assessment Scope grid of end assessment page, in header of grid we have “My Assessments” link.
    • Click on “My Assessments” link, we can navigate to assessment summary page.
  • Navigate to Assessment Scope Page
    • In Assessment Scope grid of end assessment page, we have “Assess” link along with scope name.
    • Click on “Assess” link, we can navigate to assessment scope page which we are displaying within start assessment page.
  • Navigate to Assessment Scope Report Page
    • In Assessment Scope grid of end assessment page, we have “View Report” link along with scope name.
    • Click on “View Report” link, we can navigate to assessment scope report page.
  • Roll up Assessments - The question-level scores are “rolled up” to higher levels e.g. capability building blocks, category.

Q1: I don’t see score in assessment score gird of End Assessment Page. Why?

A: If you have not select any response or not enter the score of capability/question/measure for assessment scope then you cannot see score in assessment score gird of End Assessment Page.

Q2: I don’t see “View Report” link in assessment scope gird of End Assessment Page. Where did it go?

A: If assessment administrator does not set Show Report flag to true for an assessment, then you cannot see “View Report” link in assessment scope gird of End Assessment Page.

Assessment Scope Report page is used to display scope detail. This page display the information like roll score of assessment scope, capability maturity chart of assessment scope, capability maturity description chart of assessment scope, actual maturity/measure, importance score entered by user for individual capability/question/measure, recommendations of assessment scope.

Activities performed in Assessment Scope Report page:

  • View roll up (summary data) grid, capability maturity chart, capability distribution chart, score entered by user and recommendations of assessment scope.
  • Navigate to End Assessment Page.
  • We can get Assessment Scope Report Page when click on “View Report” link which is along with assessment scope name in assessment scope grid of end assessment page.
  • We are using single panel in this page and displaying all scope specific information.
  • View Assessment Scope information
    • View Summary data of roll up for assessment scope
      • Summary Grid display the roll up information. In Summary Grid, we are displaying actual roll up score of assessment scope for measure level as well as importance level. We are displaying consolidated score for capability class/capability.
    • View Capability Maturity Chart
      • We can see the Capability Maturity Chart in this page. Capability Maturity Chart display maturity level/measure scale information of capabilities included in assessment scope.
      • Right now, we are displaying the capability class level data in capability maturity chart.
    • View Capability Maturity Distribution Chart
      • Capability Maturity Distribution chart displays maturity distribution information of Avg. score, Assessor score and range of assessment scope.
    • View Assessment Scope Data
      • We can see score entered by user for each capability/question/measure of assessment scope in Assessment Scope Data section.
      • We are displaying this data in tabular format.
    • View Recommendations of Assessment Scope
      • We are displaying the assessment scope recommendations information in this page.
  • Navigate to End Assessment Page.
    • Click on “Go Back” link in header of assessment report, will redirect to end assessment page.
  • Roll up Assessments - The question-level scores are “rolled up” to higher levels e.g. capability building blocks, category.
