Conducting Assessments

CAMP includes complete set of facilities to configure, administer, and analyze capability maturity assessments. As an assessment administrator, you can define the scope of an assessment, invite participants, track progress, send reminders, and eventually analyze and report results.

You can conduct at least four types of assessments.

  1. High level Executive Assessment
  2. Single Capability Assessment
  3. Cluster (a group of capabilities) Assessment
  4. Fast-track or Organizational Assessment (does not require assessment surveys)

All assessments except fast-track assessments follow a similar set of steps.

  • Create an Assessment
  • Define the scope i.e. what one or more capabilities are included
  • Include the current and target assessment time periods (snapshots
  • Specify the level of details for the assessment e.g. capability building block or capability question level assessment
  • Customize or define notification templates
  • Add participants
  • Invite participants i.e. send invitation emails
  • Track progress
  • Send reminders, if necessary
  • Add an assessor assessment, if desired
  • Upon completion, rollup and consolidate individual assessments
  • Develop charts and reports
  • Export data for additional analysis

All the above activities can be performed from the Assessment Administration page.

See specific assessment page for additional details on the process related to the type of the assessment.

If you have access to Assessment Administration Page, you can set up and manage an assessment.

As an administrator, you can also assign anyone a Survey Administrator role through user access administration page.

  • Executive Assessment - A high-level assessment covering all critical capabilities in IT-CMF.
  • Cluster Assessment - A group of critical capabilities included in a single assessment.
  • Fast-track Assessment - Rather than inviting other people to participate in an assessment, an individual can quickly assess the capabilities.
